My favorite Toho movie star, giant robot Jet Jaguar aided Godzilla during his battle with an undersea monster named, Megalon. Originally Jet was created by Toho to capitalize on the super robot hero craze of the mid 1970's. Slated to star in his own movie Toho producers were uncertain Jet could carry a movie by himself. Instead they wrote our hero into the next Godzilla script.
